Genesis 1...

talks about the creation of earth.

{In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.God called the light day, and the darkness He called night And there was evening and there was morning, one day.}


What gets me the most out just this few verses is that it is said that,the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then He said let there be light, and there was light.

if God can create something as massive as the earth, and light, and life out something that is dark and void and formless, then think, what He can do in us when we are in those times of life where everything seems dark, and void. if we would just let Him in. Let Him have those places that are in our hearts. if we would stop thinking that its too messy, smelly, and just nasty, and stop trying to find a way to fix it ourselves, by holding it in, and thinking that He doesn't want us when we are in the void of life. THINK ABOUT WHAT HE COULD DO! HE CREATED LIFE OUT OF THE FORMLESS VOID OF DARKNESS!!!

I personally think He likes when we get to that point, the place where we have no where else to turn to, no where to hide. I think that those are the times where He gets the most glory, (if we allow Him to come in and do His thing.) Think about how beautiful He can make those places in our hearts, if He can create the earth out of nothing. I think He likes when we come to Him when are messy, smelly and nasty. its when we are in those places that we have no other choice but to depend on Him. I think it makes Him happy to make something beautiful out of the messy, smelly nastiness.

also... Genesis 1:26 " Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness" (could the "Us" and "Our" be the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?) then in Genesis 2:7 "Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being"
HELLO! He totally made us by out of DUST from the GROUND! and last i checked...the dust on the ground is kinda messy, and some times smelly, and most of the time nasty. and then...he BREATHED LIFE INTO the NOSTRILS...He got all up in your face and breathed life into your nose...and well...i wont go on...but i am just saying...if he can do all of that out of a formless dark void, and dust from the ground...i am pretty sure that He can bring beauty out of our dark, void, formless, dusty places in our hearts.

this is love to me, this is encouraging to me. this is happy to me. He loves us. He wants to make things beautiful. He wants our hearts.
