I have always wanted to do a study of 1st Corinthians 13:4-8.  Its a part of the bible that i do look at a lot and i talk about a lot. but i dont know if i really understand it, in-fact, i know that i do not. Its easy to say

"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all thing  Love never fails."

but what does that really mean? the Leadership at the Boiler Room are doing a media fast, starting on monday the 14th, to lead up to Good Friday on April 22nd. ( you are more than welcome to join us!! ) good-bye facebook. :) and perhaps blogger. :) i am really stoked about this!! one of the things i really want to do is to really take a deeper look at the 1st Corinthians 13:4-8, not just read over it and be like oh okay...but to really ask God what it means to be not be jealous, not to brag, and not be arrogant. what it means to not act unbecomingly, and not to seek its own, to not provoke, what does it really mean to not keep an account wrong suffered, and does not rejoice in the unrighteousness. what does it mean to rejoice with the the truth, and to bear all things, and to believe in all things, and to hope all things, what doe it mean to really endure all things? 

i want to know! i want to understand this. If God is love, (and He is) then i think this is something that should be looked at.
