1 Corinthians 3:6 I(Paul) planted,Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 

I like this. for many reasons, 3:6, says that we can only plant and water seeds, i think of seeds of the heart, (or in a garden.) We plant them in our hearts, and in other peoples hearts, but we cannot make the seeds grow, we cant rely on our self, nor can we rely on other people to make the seeds grow. they are there, yes, the have been planted and are being watered, but only God and make them grow. sure, it would be easier to want others to make us grow, but really, what would the point be in that? it would only give the person glory, and not God.(not good) in my life, i have had many people that i am thankful for "plant"seeds and help"water" the seeds, but it was/is up to me, to get out of the way and let God make the growth happen, was/is it easy? heck no techno. but it was totally worth it all. think of this way...(this is going to sound way out there) think of a seed...its little and some are more delicate than others, you plant the seed, in dirt, mud, whatever, and then you water it, and then it starts to grow into something...the seed has to break...(painful maybe?) but it keeps growing, then you see a little sprout, still very tender, then it starts to grow more, i don't know if plants can actually feel anything...but just think if they could/did don't you think it would maybe hurt a bit growing tall, and then busting out some peddles, and then blooming into something? (i know that when i was a kid, my bones and such hurt. some like to call it growing pains) in the pain, the plant still grows, and it becomes something beautiful. it was worth it. it was worth it to the plant, it was worth it to who ever planted and watered it, because they could see the work that was being done, and what it ended up being. Only God can make something grow and be that pretty. sure it wouldnt have happened if if the planter didn't plant, and that person watering it didnt water it. but in the end, no matter how you look at, God did it. now, take that and picture it as your heart, someone can only plant so many seeds in you, and water you so much, only God can make those seeds into something awesome. only he can get the glory, i would much rather God be the one helping me grow than someone else. He knows me. He knows how i work. He loves me. its awesome. :)
